The city of Harrisonburg is located centrally (2 hours from Washington D.C., 2 hours from Richmond, and 2 hours from Roanoke). The city sits in the Shenandoah Valley, with National Forests to the east and west. The beauty of Harrisonburg, along with it's close proximity to large metropolitan areas, makes it an amazing place to call home.

The Town of Bridgewater is located along the northern edge of the North River near the southern border of Rockingham County. The City of Harrisonburg, the county seat, is located approximately five miles to the northeast. Other nearby urban areas include the City of Staunton (25 miles southwest), the City of Charlottesville (60 miles southeast), and the City of Winchester (75 miles northeast). The Washington D.C. and Richmond metropolitan areas are within a two and one-half hour drive.

Situated in the historic Shenandoah Valley, the Town of Broadway (pop. 3,200) is located within Rockingham County and is approximately 12 miles north of Harrisonburg. Broadway is served by several U.S. highways, as well as Interstate 81, which provides a direct access route (Rte. 259) to Broadway.

Elkton is a small town of approximately 2,900 residents nestled on the east side of Rockingham County, Virginia in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Situated between Massanutten Mountain and Skyline Drive, the connections between our fair town and the rest of the world are endless. Located just a few minutes from Interstate 81 between Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, Elkton is a crossroads for progress and small-town living.

The 2010 census is currently being conducted. Updated information will be forthcoming as soon as it becomes available. The Town of Shenandoah implemented a boundary line adjustment, effective January 1, 2007, which added to our population. No official count has been received, but the unofficial count was 2,335 with the newly incorporated areas.
